What is the vision of Foundation⁰?

Knowledge flies in the face of conventional thinking. Let’s take a somewhat unusual example: apples. If you have two apples, and give one away, you’re left with less than what you originally had. The opposite is true with knowledge; the more you share, the more you have.

This concept is at the heart of Foundation⁰ — and it’s something Ana Pimenta, board member of the foundation, explores during her recent presentation outlining the organisation’s mission.

Whether it’s climate change, resource scarcity, or rising costs, the world is facing an increasing number of challenges. Thankfully, the answer to many of these problems can be found in technology, but there’s an issue: much of this information is hidden away.

Foundation⁰ aims to solve this through knowledge sharing. By highlighting data, learnings, and ideas, it wants to make a real difference to the planet and help protect it for generations to come.

Foundation⁰ does this by focusing on three core areas: marine, land, and urban. In these areas, it aims to bridge the gap between academics, research centers, and industry accelerators, ensuring a steady flow of information and inspiration.

There’s no limit to how much knowledge can be shared, and we want to prove that.
