Sailing Yacht Zero sea trials: Running up the systems

Following its successful launch last week, the focus of the team behind the revolutionary Sailing Yacht Zero transitioned from tuning the rigs to systems integration. This is an overview of that story.
Over the past seven days, the team concentrated on stepping the masts from Carbo-Link. This part of the project was completed seamlessly, and represents a major technical milestone for the project.
The other major focus is getting the yacht’s mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic architecture online to ensure full operational capacity in real-world conditions. The team is currently validating approximately 27,000 data telemetry points across the yacht, meaning round-the-clock technical supervision is underway. This 24-hour watch schedule from a team of engineers is a vital step in ensuring that all systems are powered up, verified, and working as they should be.
